Review: It's a 10 Miracle Leave In Product

Hello Lovelies! If you're anything like I am, you probably have a drawer/cabinet/box full of hair products! Like, you just keep aquiring them and aren't quite sure how! You may not even know what they all do! You'll have a heat protector, a frizz destroyer, a leave-in conditioner, a straightener cream, etc. etc. (or maybe it's just me?;)

What if I told you that you could get rid of alllll those extra products for JUST ONE that would do everything that you need it to do? You'd think I'm crazy, right?

Well, Lovelies, I believe such a product does exist--It's a 10 Miracle Leave In Product. (and they really do mean MIRACLE;)

Because I spent so much at Ulta last quarter, I got a lot of points to pick up from free stuff. I'd never heard of any It's a 10 products, but I loved the description. See, this is what it promises to do:

It's A 10 does 10 things instantly: 1. Repairs dry damaged hair. 2. Adds shine. 3. Smoothes and controls frizz. 4. Seals and protects hair color. 5. Detangles. 6. Prevents split ends. 7. Stops hair breakage. 8. Creates silkiness. 9. Enhances natural body. 10. Flat iron spray and thermal protector.

It's true! I don't know what they put in this little bottle, but it does sooo much for my hair! After showering, I spray some in and comb it through (yes! it detangles!) Then, if I'm wearing my hair curly/wavy, I'll put in some product and let it go (yes! It's less frizzy!) Or, if it's a straight day, I'll towel dry it for a bit before blow-drying and straightening (yes! My hair is protected!). My hair is colored and while my highlights are sadly becoming very grown out, spraying this still protects the color I have!

I could probably throw out 90% of the hair products I own since I now have "It's a 10"! Love love love it! And it smells so fresh and clean, too!:)

It's just under $20 at Walgreens (I can't see Ulta's price right now 'cause it's only sold at stores), and I know it can be found cheaper at some places (such as Amazon). Yes, it's a little pricey, but I would definitely pay for it because I am sooo pleased with the results and it saves me from buying three other similar products (a frizz-free spray, detangler, and heat-protectant spray)

Have you tried any products by It's a 10?? What do you think about it??:)

Review: Psssssst Instant Dry Shampoo

Hi Lovelies! I'm sure many of you have already tried (and loved;) the product I'm writing about today! I know I'm a little late to this party, lol, but I have to tell you--this is one of those products that after using it you think, OMG, where have you been ALL MY LIFE?!?!

This isn't my first time writing about dry shampoos (you can see previous post here), but I can say this is probably hands down the best dry shampoo I've ever used or ever will use.
 via

For anyone who doesn't know what a "dry shampoo" is, the Kristen definition is this: "when you're too tired to actually wash your hair, spray a little in and your hair looks clean and new!" The way that Psssssst describes it is this:

An effective solution to transform dull dirty hair without washing. Contains a perfected amount of powder to absorb excess oil, eliminate odor and product build up while boosting volume.
  • Hair looks, feels, and smells freshly shampooed without the use of water.
  • Just spray, brush, and go

Pretty much the same thing;) It's also great if you work out during the day and don't have time to get a full shower before you leave the gym! Just spray to freshen up your hair!:)

I love this for a number of reasons: it's super convenient, it works, it smells good, and a little goes a long way. I actually received this in a subscription box (I can't remember which one at this point.. I *think* Beauty Army, but it may have been Birchbox) so I only got a sample size, but it has lasted quite a while!

How to use is simple: shake the can, hold 6-8 inches from your head and spray on hair. Make sure to lift the top sections and spray under layers too. I usually give it  minute or two to work it's magic then brush through and voila! Brand new hair!!

It's currently being sold at Walgreens for $6.29 ($4.19 if you have a Walgreens rewards card!:) so I would definitely purchase this again!

What dry shampoos do you like? Which ones do you think work best?

Influenster VoxBox Follow up!

Hi Lovelies, some of you might remember that I received my very first Influesnter VoxBox last month (yay). Sadly, I've felt like such a slacker when it comes to being a good Influenster. I've seen people like mattabellax3 blogging all the time about all the stuff she's tried. And then there's me... *sigh* But! I'm doing it now, so better late than never right?? ;)

I just want to kind of hit the highlights and lowlights of what I loved, what I hated, and overall what I thought about the products in my box!

What I LOVED:
The Bath and Body Works fragrance mist. OH EM GEE. First of all, I got Sweet Pea which is an amazingly classic scent from B&BW. I wore it every summer towards the end of high school and early college. It's just a fun spring/summer scent. Sweet.. kinda flowery.. kinda fruity.. Anyway, this fragrance mist is amazing! It's a very light spray so it's not overpowering at all. I was afraid it wouldn't last very long because it's so light, but the truth is that it seemed to stay with me most (if not all) of the day. The bottle is so fun! It really looks like a more expensive perfume. I used it every day since I got it (only recently phased it out this week to go back to some other scents) and it's only gone down maybe 1/4''. So this bottle will last forever! (exaggeration;) lol. I would definitely purchase again; and I probably will get a few other scents.

SheerCover Concealer. Wow. I was really nervous when I got this. I thought it was going to be too much, too heavy, too cakey, etc. It was so soft and so smooth! I used it on dark circles under my eyes, red areas around my nose, zits on my chin... It worked EVERYWHERE. It just blended and looked like my natural skin color no matter where I put it! This is like a magical concealer. Love it! I had never heard of SheerCover before; I have since seen one of their commercials, and I'm actually quite curious in the brand now and other products they have to offer. So thanks, VoxBox!:)

What I HATED:
Soyjoy. *gag* It's nothing against the Soyjoy people, I'm really excited about how nutritious and health conscious their products are, but the bar was gross to me. It had the consistency kind of like a fig newton (which I hate)... and it was kind of dry.. but not dry and crunchy like biscotti... just... dry... but heavy.. if that makes sense. Will not purchase again. Sorry:(

Dr. Scholl's Ball of Foot Cushion. Not gonna lie, I have purchased and used these before. I love the concept of them. I love how they're supposed to work. I love the color, the feel, the texture, etc. Maybe I just have bad balls lol, but my feet don't feel much different after using them. I used them in two different pairs of heels (and that was part of the problem. They're "removable" but when you "remove" them, they never seem to stick as well to the next pair). I will say, I decided to try an experiment and put one in my left foot but not my right foot. There was a little less pain in my right foot, but not a whole lot for me to notice--almost like, was there only less pain 'cause I was telling myself there should be?

Other thoughts:
I really enjoyed the Chapstick LipShield 365. I used it several times outside as well as a day at the beach. My lips are not burnt:) I love that it's an all season chapstick... for sun and wind protection. I'd definitely purchase again and even use as a regular balm under other lip colors.
The Aveeno shower gel had an amazing smell! Like fresh soap! I can't place if it smells like Ivory.. or Dial.. or whatever, but it reminded me of my mom when I was growing up. The lather was pretty good.. not as creamy as I thought it would've been, but I felt very clean after using it. I probably won't replace my other shower gels with it, but I enjoyed testing it.

And there you have it! Some thoughts on what I received! I'm sure Influenster hates me for not being very influential so we'll see if I ever get another VoxBox;) lol

Did you get a VoxBox? What did you think of the contents?
Disclaimer: I received each product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Dolce Mia ~ First Impressions

Hi Lovelies!! I am suuuuuper excited to tell you about this amazingly fabulous company that I have just recently become aware of! It's called Dolce Mia! They are out of California and are a family run business specializing in Made in the USA products that are very natural/organic/green (whichever word you prefer to use!)

They have a variety of lotions, soaps (bar and liquid), hair care, stationary, gifts and decor--basically, they have it all! Everything is super cute and vintage-y and just all around fun!

The Dandrea Margaret rep was kind enough to send me several products to review! I just got them in the mail about 4 days ago, and have not been able to stop using them since!! I'll show you what I got and give you some first impressions then next week I'll give you my full review along with a little special something for all of you;)

When I opened the box, everything was wrapped in tissue paper and packaged so neatly, it was like opening a Christmas present! The first thing I unwrapped was the Golden Girl Tuberose Liquid Soap. I had requested the Tuberose fragrance because I'm a huge fan of Bath and Body Works Velvet Tuberose and wanted to be able to compare:) The first thing I noticed was the packaging! I LOVE how soft the colors are, the images on it, and just the overall vintage feel! I could almost see myself redoing my entire bathroom around this bottle of soap the whole thing can be vintage:)
Moving on, to go with the lotion, I got a travel size container of the Golden Girl Pin Up Lotion. It's a small sample size, but this is the perfect size if you need to get through the airport or are going away for a few days and don't have enough room to bring a full bottle. I also think these would be great in gift bags for bridal showers, baby showers, or any other party where you'd be giving little goodie bags away!

Also included was two bars of soap. I haven't used much bar soap in a long time, but I'm really excited to try both of these! The Mango-Tangerine smells delicious!!! Almost like I want to bite into it and eat it (which, I probably could since it's all natural, but I won't;). The Pikake (which I had to look up because I had NO idea what it was) ["an evergreen climbing jasmine (Jasminum sambac) of Asia long cultivated for its profuse fragrant white flowers"] smells very fresh and flowery! Almost like something you'd smell in your grandmother's guest bathroom:) Just light and airy!

Last but not least, on top of everything else that was sent was a little card! I LOVE these cards!! I love all things vintage and think that the old pin-up model stuff is just sooo gorgeous! Sending cards, letters, etc. is such a lost art in this day and age with so much virtual communication. I would love to buy some of these cards and just send notes to far away friends (and even some not so far away friends too!:)
Overall, I am soooo super impressed with this company right now! I want to buy and try everything they make!

After using everything for a week, I'll give you a much more detailed review and share with you a special offer so that you can have all these wonderful things as well!!:)
