Dolce Mia ~ Review! (and coupon code!:)

Hellloooo Lovelies! You may remember last week I introduced you to a line I newly discovered--Dolce Mia! As promised, I've been using the products for a little over a week now and feel that I'm ready to tell you what I think!

As expected, I love this! The liquid hand soap comes out a little thicker than regular hand soap. I feel like it's really cleaning my hands and the scent is amazing! With the soap, the scent actually lingers even after your done washing your hands! I think it's amazing! My hands don't get dried out and as I said in my first impressions---the packaging is amazing! It's like a little conversation piece just in itself. I absolutely adore! A 12 ounce bottle retails for $14. (compared to Bath and Body works 8 ounces for $5)

The bar soap was pretty wonderful as well! Now, I haven't used bar soap in yeeearrrs, but I really enjoyed the Mango Tangerine! It lathered up way better than I remember bar soap lathering (granted, I think we had mostly cheap Dial soap when I was growing up lol). And the smell is fabulous--the entire shower would have the scent of the soap while I was using it. I didn't notice the scent staying very long AFTER the shower--like it was very faint if I sniffed my arm. However, this wasn't a big deal to me, 'cause really I'm using the soap to get clean not to smell fabulous. That, my friends is what the lotion is for! (Bar soap retails for $8 with 6 ounces. Bath and Body works $6.50 for 7 ounces)

Speaking of lotion! I LOVE this lotion!! I got the Tuberose scent to compare to Bath and Body Works Velvet Tuberose (which I've been using for at least the past three years). There were definitely similarities in the scent, but Dolce Mia just smelled... lighter? Does that make sense... Like it was more airy and fresh; a little more flowery. It reminded my of how I imagine women would've smelt in the 40's--like just a high end fashion pretty smell:) I'm not sure if that makes sense at all, but it's just what I picture. The smell is divine!

The consistency was very interesting to me. Chunky isn't quite the right word, but when I would first dip my finger in to the jar to get some out, it seemed almost cottage cheese'y to me. It blended in and moisturized just like any other lotion though! And the scent is definitely long lasting, but not overpowering. It's a fabulous moisturizer! My skin is very smooth and supple.  ($22 for 12 ounces. Bath and Body Works $11.50 for 8 ounces)

You may be wondering why I compared the prices to Bath and Body Works. I wanted to show you how comparable the prices are to other company's products. Yes, Dolce Mia is a little more, but to remind you what that "little more" is going to:

Dolce Mia products are completely natural--whether you're in to organic, vegan, green, stuff or not, you can at least appreciate that there are no crazy chemicals or other ingredients that could have an adverse effect on your skin or life.

Dolce Mia products are made in the US--your money is supporting a company that keeps your money in America and you're supporting a family business--what's not to like about that? (Okay, I understand if you're not American, maybe you don't want *your* money in America;)

Dolce Mia utilizes Becoming Independent where people with disabilities are able to work in production of the company and 10% of the profit from the Spread the Love line goes back to Becoming Independent's Family Resource and Advocacy Center. So Dolce Mia is about giving back; and by your buying products from them, you are helping them continue that.

The bottom line is, I have no reason why you SHOULDN'T buy Dolce Mia products AND tell all your friends about it! I'm going to help you do that.

Dandrea Margaret rep has been fabulous in allowing me to offer you all 15% off any purchase you make at their website for the next 30 days!! So from today until April 11, 2012, just by using the code "Glitter" at the checkout, you will save money! Who doesn't love saving money??
